Weybrook Park Golf Club

"The new 9 hole project at Weybook Park, Basingstoke has benefited greatly from the knowledge and experience of Ken Moodie of Creative Golf Design. Ken's advice on the layout and mix of holes has been excellent, however it is the attention to detail when preparing drawings and especially when supervising the works on site has help create a natural looking course which beautifully sits into the surrounding landscape. It is Ken’s eye for detail which makes a good design into a great one."

Flackwell Heath Golf Club

"Ken Moodie has provided valuable and consistent architectural support to the golf course of Flackwell Heath Golf Club for the past 10 years. His input to the recent 2 year bunker renovation project has been invaluable and very well received by the members of the Golf Club. Ken has provided the essential ingredient of ‘vision’ for the strategic long term improvement of the golf course. We look forward to working with Ken in the future, when further course modifications are required."

Royal Blackheath Golf Club

"CGD won our unanimous vote after a three-way competitive pitch in January 2014. I had worked with both Ken and John at previous golf clubs, so I knew their capabilities. Their standards are high, and they are very professional and easy to work with. The work will restore some wonderful parkland views throughout the golf course which had been lost over time, following the planting of many unsuitable and unsustainable trees. These had created an artificially-treelined look to many of the fairways at Royal Blackheath Golf Club. The bunker work, which will be in several phases, will take place over the next few years with disruption to the flow of play kept to a minimum."

Alwoodley Golf Club

"Ken has an association with Alwoodley dating back to 2009. He has been responsible for the design & project management of our 5 year plan which has focused on bunker restoration. He has always provided the club with clear & concise advice. He works in an organized , transparent & timely fashion. He responds to questions & queries in a thoughtful & detailed manner. I would unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone considering a similar project."

Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council

"I am the Design Manager of a major road project in Greater Manchester, working on behalf of Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council. The A6, Hazel Grove to Manchester Airport Relief Road scheme involves the construction of new dual carriageway travelling from Stockport to Manchester and through Cheshire East borough. In Cheshire, the road alignment travelled through part of the 18 hole course at Styal Golf Club. Creative Golf Design won the competitive tender to design and supervise the remodelling of the course including creating 3 new holes and rearranging 3 existing holes. Ken Moodie and his team created a layout, irrigation and drainage design that would retain operation of the course during the works and in advance of the road construction. Ken worked with both the council and the golf club to create a new design to the opening holes that the golf club were able to promote in advance of the works, during what would have been an uncertain time for its members and provide a great new course. Creative Golf Design produced plans and specifications for the final playing course that received planning approval from Cheshire East Council. They also produced tender information for the benefit of the construction contract to be managed by the golf course itself. Ken worked professionally and to programme to ensure that the works were remodelled in time for the road construction which commenced earlier this year, in March 2015. I have no doubt that Styal Golf Club will have a new course to be proud of and can confirm that the council has kept to a tight programme whilst minimising the impact of the road scheme on the course on the club."
