Kevin Duggan Golf Academy, Luton, UK

Project Details

A unique project involving the design of a 9-hole golf academy (or pitch and putt course) for a charitable group representing disadvantaged children. The charity, set up by Declan Duggan in memory of his son, paid for the construction of the course in exchange for 50% use, while the local Council provided the land and maintain the facility. We designed the course with par 3 holes or 50-100 yards in length to encourage kids to start to play the game and develop their skills. The Academy was opened by celebrities including Ken Brown (former European Tour player), Paul Young (pop star) ad Kevin Whately (actor). It is supported by the Ryder Cup Development Trust.
